New Developments Coming to East Austin

Austin-based Cumby Group LLC is developing 3 separate apartment projects along Manor Road in East Austin, bringing 800+ apartments and 150,000 sqft of mixed-use space to the area. 

The Emma

The first development is The Emma, a 146-unit apartment at 3219 Manor Rd.  15 of the 146 will be reserved for renters making less than 60% of the area's median family income. The median income for Travis County 4 person household at 60% is $59,340.

Construction is underway and completion is set for Spring 2022. 

The Emma is named after Emma C. Browning, Austin's "First Lady of Aviation."

Mixed Use Buildings

The second development is two-mixed use buildings at 3115 Manor Rd. Plans are still being decided, but they anticipate 500 apartment units with commercial live/work space. 

48 affordable units will be reserved and they expect to break ground mid 2022.

200 Apartments

The third development, perhaps the least concrete in details will be located 3303 Manor Rd.  This specific area backs to the creek, shared with JJ Seabrook Neighborhood Park will offer community gathering spaces where food trucks or farmers markets could take place. The spaces could also be used for collaborative, pop-up-style retail opportunities.
